A tradition of family, community, and remembrance
Our Purpose
“He was a man who loved his family first and foremost.”
The Booth Memorial Corporation presents cash awards to the seniors who best exhibit the ideals of the Booth family. Claude W. Booth was an active volunteer in several community organizations, a hard working businessman, and as honest and trustworthy as they come.
Together with his wife Ruth L. Booth, he raised a large and close family which numbered 96 at his passing in December 2004. The Booth Memorial Corporation was established to honor both of them in memory of all members of the family who have passed on.

In Their Honor
The Family Behind the Awards
115 family members.
One shared legacy.
The family of Claude W. and Ruth L. Booth consists of six children, 25 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Those in the first generation are grateful for the wise decisions and loving consideration of their parents — who recognized that Canisteo was an ideal place to raise a family and passed up opportunities for personal advancement that would have uprooted them.
Those of us who were raised there are grateful for the opportunities provided by this idyllic setting.
